for a discussion on
Climate in Maine
Recent polling from the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication indicates most Mainers think global warming is happening and caused mainly by human activities. While some of Maine’s resources are vulnerable to climate change, Maine has resources that can be solutions as well.  People in Maine are noticing a changing climate.  New clean energy businesses are starting up. Offshore wind is blowing. Maine has a new Climate Council.
What do climate impacts and solutions mean to Mainers?
Lenny Reich is a volunteer member of the Union of Concerned Scientists Science       Network.  From 1986 until his retirement, Professor Reich taught in the Department of Science, Technology & Society at Colby College.  Recently, he has been working on issues dealing with diet, agriculture, and environmental consequences, including its effects on climate.
